An exploration of my Animus

He seems to be divided into these 5 archetypes:

Honorable Mentions (or sub-archetypes???):

All of my Animus atributes can be traced back to one of these archetypes, which can be subdivided into many, many specific atributes. Here are some examples:

(*) these ones are actually genderless archetypes, so I find them both in my Animus and Anima.

There is one characteristic that I see in all of them, and that is selfishness. They are all capable of it, but only when I ignore Him/them for a long time. 'Cause they don't like to be ignored. It can get seriously nasty when I happen to ignore any of the Inner Entities.

Ways I interact with Animus (in the psyche)

The Lover is usually at the forefront, whispering encouraging or lustful words in my (right?) ear, while The Trickster is constantly yapping in my (left?) ear about all those "sad but true" things that someone has to tell me for my own sake.

The problem is, it's hard to tell apart the constructive criticism from the plain cruelty. But if something he says ends up being a cruel lie, The Lover intervenes to remind me of my value.

The Father is the one usually giving me strength and wisdom to face difficult or scary tasks.

The Hero posseses me in order to accomplish said tasks.

The Child archetype is also someone I usually embody more than interact with. (Isn't it funny how many, many adults see themselves as, or feel like children, inside their mind?)

Finding Animus in Pop Culture

We all see glimpses of our Animus in different people, fictional or real. Personally, I find pieces of him in many male celebrities and characters. Here's a list of some of them, and the parts of Animus they remind me of.

Obviously, I don't know any of these people, so my understanding of them is only based on their public image, and what I project onto them. What we see in others is only a reflection of ourselves, after all.
